We participated in the design of the worlds largest titanium melting hearth. This hearth is designed to operate continuously for days
producing titanium ingots the size of a school bus. This leads to the build-up of titanium condensate on the ceiling of the hearth.
The ceiling is designed to be removed once the run
is complete in order to remove this titanium build-up. We participated in the design of the reusable stainless steel structure as well as the discarded
screens and the mounts for these screens.
