World's Largest Titanium Melting Hearth

Hearth

We participated in the design of the worlds largest titanium melting hearth. This hearth is designed to operate continuously for days producing titanium ingots the size of a school bus. This leads to the build-up of titanium condensate on the ceiling of the hearth. The ceiling is designed to be removed once the run is complete in order to remove this titanium build-up. We participated in the design of the reusable stainless steel structure as well as the discarded screens and the mounts for these screens.
